Club Racing has developed the ultimate racing package for clients via its racehorse ownership day-lease scheme.  The emphasis is on personal service and a quality that money alone cannot buy - AND we can individually tailor a package to each client's needs.

NEWMARKET AND THE JOCKEY CLUB ROOMS

For example, bring your party to race at Newmarket and you could enjoy staying adjacent to the Jockey Club Rooms, in the Jockey Club flat.  A tour, that would seek to take advantage of all that Newmarket has to offer, could start with a private visit to the legendary training grounds to view the early morning work, followed by breakfast, possibly with a leading trainer.  Then perhaps, following a private tour of the Jockey Club Rooms themselves and a glass of champagne, on to either the National Stud or the Horse Racing Museum.  Your party could then regroup for lunch and the afternoon's racing, all from the comfort of your own private box - and of course the thrill of seeing your horse run with a good prospect of winning!  A separate, more leisurely itinerary could be arranged for those who prefer it.

The elegant and splendidly furnished Rooms contain numerous paintings by famous artists, including Stubbs and Herring.  In addition, there are varied memorabilia of famous horses together with some of the colourful characters associated with the Turf.  See also where such sayings as - 'on the mat' and 'not worth the candle' originated!

Jockey Club coffee-roomThe Jockey Club's association with Newmarket began in 1771, when it took out a lease on a site for a coffee house.  Originally founded as a social gathering of 'noblemen and gentlemen' interested in the Turf, the Club's role evolved to be that of a regulatory body controlling all the race meetings in Britain.

In modern times, the Jockey Club Rooms have tended to revert to their initial social purpose, as the judicial functions of the Club are now carried out in London.

RACING NEARER LONDON

Should you prefer racing within easier range of London, with excellent access to the West End theatres, opera or ballet, then you could possibly stay at historic Witley Park, near Guildford, Surrey, or perhaps at Cliveden, near Maidenhead, Berkshire, formerly the home of the Astor family and now a small luxury hotel of rare elegance.  Both offer a superbly appointed base from which race meetings at Ascot, Epsom, Kempton and Sandown are under an hour's drive away, or a few minutes by helicopter.

YOUR OWN RACEHORSE FOR THE DAY

Of course, what makes Club Racing uniquely memorable, is our ability to lease you a horse for the day, so that you have a runner at the meeting in either your own or your company's name and in the colours of your choice.  Should the dream of owning and leading in your own winner become reality, then the renowned artist Gordon King, whose work is used throughout this website, is able to offer a specially commissioned painting to mark the occasion.
